Manushi Chhillar makes her Telugu debut with the film directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada
Varun Tej, who was last seen in the action thriller Gandeevadhari Arjuna this year, is returning with a bilingual. His upcoming film is Operation Valentine, an aviation drama, that marks the Telugu debut of Samrat Prithviraj actress Manushi Chhillar. The Hindi-Telugu drama is directed by a debutante Shakti Pratap Singh Hada. Sony Pictures International Productions and Sandeep Mudda produce it.
The teaser of the film was launched today. The glimpse begins with a voiceover that says when an airforce team is sent to another country, it’s an open declaration of war. Another dialogue emphasises on the futility of revenge and how it affects nations. Varun Tej is introduced as an air force pilot Arjun Dev, who reminds his team India is a nation of Subhash Chandra Bose as much as Gandhi.
When Arjun’s partner asks him to be ‘safe up there’, he says nothing could affect him as long as she’s in his radar. While one of his crew members suggests that it’s unsafe for him to pursue this mission, Arjun asserts he’s ready to tackle it, come what may. The scale at which the film is shot is quite evident in the teaser, while the quality VFX, CGI enhance its appeal.
With an impressive beginning to the promotional campaign through the teaser, the business prospects look bright for Operation Valentine, which is gearing up for a release on February 16, 2024. While the film was to hit screens in December, the release was pushed owing to post-production delays. It is jointly written by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar.
Shakti is well-known as an ad-film maker and the production house also labels him a ‘VFX aficionado’. Mickey J Meyer scores the music for the film while Hari K Vedantam is the cinematographer. Sai Madhav Burra writes the dialogues with Navin Nooli and Avinash Kolla handling duties as editor and production designer respectively.
