Before Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’s release, the Indian markets witnessed three big Hollywood releases. Tom Cruises’s Mission Impossible: 7 was the first release. Soon after, Chirstopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie clashed at the Box Office. Ever since, Oppenheimer has been leading the game. It has gotten even better for the Cilian Murphy starrer now because it is the best grossing Hollywood film in the recent times.

That’s correct. The film has crossed the Box Office collections of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part 1 as well.

A report on Republic TV suggests that Oppenheimer earned Rs. 4.48 crores on day 16. The third Saturday might be the lowest collections of the movie but it sure is stable.

Oppenheimer had grossed Rs. 17 crores on its first Saturday. It minted Rs. 7.25 crores on its second Saturday.

Despite all the competition, the movie has earned Rs. 109.73 crores at the Box Office. This is after surpassing the Box Office collections of Tom Cruise’s MI7, which has earned Rs. 104.92 crores so far.

Oppenheimer and MI7 have a similar number of screens. Meanwhile, Barbie suffers since it does not have enough screens and thus, the footfalls for the movie are comparatively much lesser.

Adapted from the 2005 biography American Prometheus penned by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, the movie follows the journey of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a prominent American theoretical physicist. He was the mastermind in the Nagasaki and Hiroshima attacks on Japan.
