Christopher Nolan's biographical drama 'Oppenheimer' is showing no signs of slowing down at the Indian box office. The film, which stars Cillian Murphy as the 'father of the atomic bomb' J. Robert Oppenheimer, has collected around Rs 6.25 crore on its fifth day, as per early estimates. With this, the film's total domestic collection stands at Rs 62 crore, as per trade portal Sacnilk.

The movie opened with Rs 14.50 crore, earning Rs 17 crore on day two and Rs 17.25 crore on day three of its run in theatres. It increased its revenue by another Rs 7 crore on its first Monday (Day 4). According to Box Office Mojo, the movie has made $209.2 million abroad.

'Oppenheimer' has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its gripping portrayal of the life and work of the physicist who led the Manhattan Project during World War II. The film also features a stellar ensemble cast, including Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Rami Malek.

The film has been performing better than 'Barbie', the musical comedy that released on the same day as 'Oppenheimer'. 'Barbie' has collected Rs 23.50 crore in India so far, as per Sacnilk.

'Oppenheimer' has also been doing well in the international markets, where it has made $174.2 million as of Sunday. The film was shot entirely on Imax 65 mm and Panavision 65 mm film, and Christopher Nolan has recommended watching it in IMAX for the best experience.
