The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film Oru Kattil Oru Muri confirmed that they will be announcing a release date soon. Poornima Indrajith, Hakkim Shajahan, and Priyamvada Krishnan are playing lead roles in this movie.
The first look of the film was released in January this year. This is the third directorial of Kismath-fame Shanavas K Bavakutty. Reghunath Paleri has penned the screenplay for Oru Kattil Oru Muri.
Director Shanavas calls the film an interesting one
The director revealed in an interview with The New Indian Express that Poornima Indrajith plays a 45–50-year-old Tamil woman named Akkamma. He went on to say that while he had first thought about a few actors from the past, he really wanted someone fresh who had never taken on a role like this.
Additionally, he had reassured her that she would be perfect for the part, even though she believed a more well-known actor would bring in more money for the film.
Reghunath Paleri still has a set of incredible ideas that are considerate of the needs and preferences of the contemporary audience, even though he has not worked in the field recently. He added that he thought Oru Kattil Oru Muri's topic was the most interesting, so he made the veteran screenplay writer write for him.
“Even though we lacked a production house and funding when he granted my request, he nevertheless completed it for me. His token of affection for me is this movie,” he said.

Vijayaraghavan, Shammi Thilakan, Jaffer Idukki, and Ganapathi are among the supporting cast of the movie. Eldose George has handled the camera work, while Manoj is the editor. Saptha Tharang Creations, Sameer Chembayil, and Reghunath Paleri have bankrolled this movie.
Poornima Indrajith’s upcoming projects
The actress played a prominent role in Nivin Pauly’s Thuramukham and the Hindi web series Kaala Paani last year. Apart from Oru Kattil Oru Muri, Poornima is also expected to be a part of a few other projects.
