The makers of Navya Nair’s comeback film Oruthee, directed by VK Prakash have released the official trailer for the project. The trailer, which has already gained attention with fan bases and stars, hints at the actor making a powerful return to the Malayalam film industry.
The trailer, which does a great job of not letting out too much information, reveals Nair playing the role of a wife and mother, who is at a police station making some sort of complaint to the cops. While the details of her complaint are not revealed, the trailer cuts to the writing that reads, “An untold story of a woman”.
The trailer then gives the viewer glimpses of what the movie has to offer in terms of drama and suspense. Navya Nair looks convincing as the mother and hints at a strong performance that will catch the eyes of the Malayali audience.
The movie is helmed by VK Prakash, who has previously done movies such as Beautiful, Trivandrum Lodge, Karmayogi, Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla and Moonnamathoral. Oruthee is bankrolled by Benzy Nazar under the banner of Benzy Productions and is set to hit theaters on March 11.
Apart from Nair, the movie also features Vinayakan in an important role along with Saiju Kurup, Santosh Keezhatoor, Mukundan, Jayashankar, Manu Raj, Malavika Menon and Chali Pala On the technical front, the thriller drama has music by Gopu Sunder while Jimshi Khalid and Lijo Paul are the cinematographer and editor respectively.
Nair, who walked into the hearts of the Malayali audience in 2001 with Ishtam, Mazhathullikkilukkam and Nandanam, was last seen in the Kannada film Drishya 2, remake of the 2021 Malayalam film Drishyam 2.
