India at the Oscars this year

Last year had been an iconic year for Indian Cinema at the Oscars with three nominations and two victories earned by The Elephant Whisperers in Best Documentary Short Film and RRR’s Naatu Naatu for Best Original Song. Sadly, this year, India’s only Oscar entry, 2018-Everyone is a Hero, for the category of International Feature Film did not make it to the Oscar 2024 Shortlist.
