OTT Movie Releases This Week: From Barbie, Dry Day to Maestro - Must-Watch Movies This Weekend

It's time for your weekly update on the newest OTT releases, and there's an ideal selection of films to choose from over the weekend to satisfy your binge-watching time. From Jitendra Kumar and Shriya Pilgaonkar starrer comedy-drama called Dry Day to Margot Robbir-Ryan Gosling starrer Barbie, there's everything for everyone. Let's take a look.

Maestro on Netflix

Bradley Cooper is the director and star of the biographical drama Maestro, which is centred on the life of the famous composer Leonard Bernstein. The movie examines his professional and personal struggles, focusing on his dramatic emotional journey and noteworthy musical accomplishments. It shows in great depth the difficulties that Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre, endured over a number of decades, culminating in her lung cancer battle and death in 1978.

Dry Day on Prime Video

Dry Day is a humorous drama that examines the complex issues around addiction and social expectations. The movie centres on a man named Gannu (Jitendra Kumar), who fights alcoholism while working as a small-time goon. The story picks up steam when his wife contemplates having an abortion because of his addiction, and his personal life reaches a breaking point. Annu Kapoor and Shriya Pilgaonkar also play pivotal roles in the film.

Saltburn on Prime Video

Saltburn, a movie that combines aspects of dark humour and psychological suspense, is set in the middle of the 2000s and centres on Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), an Oxford University scholarship holder. He infiltrates a prestigious organisation under the virtuous Felix Catton's (Jacob Elordi) leadership through cunning. His goal is to become a part of Felix's elite group, which sets off a series of crafty schemes and evil deceptions. His efforts are rewarded when he receives an invitation to Saltburn, Felix's family manor, where the summer is spent exposing his cunning tactics and psychopathic tendencies. Rosamund Pike, Carey Mulligan, and Richard E. Grant are among the other actors who appear in the movie.

Barbie on Jio Cinema

Barbie (Margot Robbie) starts going through an existential crisis. To comprehend herself and find her actual purpose, she needs to visit the human world. Ryan Gosling's character, Ken, who is sort of her boyfriend, goes along for the voyage since he needs Barbie to acknowledge him in order to survive.

Fear the Night on Lionsgate Play

Recovering from alcoholism, Tess (Maggie Q) is a former Iraq War soldier who comes home to mend her strained connection with her sister Beth. But at their youngest sister Rose's bachelorette party at the family property, their tension reaches a new level. When masked attackers suddenly attack, the situation grows severe and Rose is sadly killed. Tess takes the lead in their battle to live against the attackers because of her military experience.
