Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have been the talk of the town ever since the rumours of their wedding started to spread. The duo has reportedly got their guests to sign a non-disclosure agreement and banned mobile phones to ensure there is no leak of any photographs or footage of the bride and groom. The hush-hush around the wedding has only made fans more curious. And now, there are reports saying that an OTT platform has offered a 100-crore deal to the Bollywood celebs to stream their wedding footage.
With the D-day reported to be December 9 for Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, the streaming giant plans to kick-start the trend of streaming celeb weddings, according to a report by Pinkvilla. A source told the portal that it is a common trend for celebrities to sell their wedding footage and images to magazines and sometimes, channels as their fans await to see all the developments happening in the big event of their idols. "The streaming giant is planning to bring in the same trend in India too and to kick off their wedding franchise, they have offered Rs 100 crore to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal,” the source added.
The couple is said to still respond to the offer. The two have extremely secretive about the developments of their wedding. If they agree, all the functions of the star-studded wedding will be shot and presented as a film on the platform. The source further revealed that the OTT platform's film will include live moments, exclusive interviews of the family, guests, make-up artists, stylists and others present at the venue. “It’s up to Katrina and Vicky to decide on the future course of action. There is a possibility of them letting go of the offer and also of collaborating with this giant as they want their fans to witness all that happened in the palace,” the source said.
The same platform is said to have earlier offered the deal to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh to stream their wedding but the couple decided to not sell the footage at that moment. We'll have to wait and watch if Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif too decide to follow them or set a trend of streaming celeb weddings online.
