OTT South releases of the week: Dasara, Pathu Thala, Thuramukham, Gurudev Hoysala and other movies on Netflix, Prime Video, Sony LIV

After its theatrical run, Silambarasan's action entertainer Pathu Thala has dropped on Amazon Prime Video today. Nani’s Dasara, which was a pan-India theatrical release, is also now streaming on Netflix. Other films that will be available on OTT include Gurudev Hoysala, Thuramukham which will stream on Prime Video and Sony LIV.

Pathu Thala

Silambarasan's Pathu Thala, in which he plays the mysterious gangster AGR has just dropped on OTT. The film, which is a remake of the Kannada film Mufti, revolves around an underworld cop, who is on a mission to nab the dreaded gangster. The film stars STR, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar and is directed by Obeli Krishna.

Dasara

Dasara, set in Veerlapaali village of Telengana, and it explores the ordeals of the oppressed. The people of Veerlapally are addicted to alcohol and a popular Silk Bar is the place for local politics. The film stars Nani and Keerthy Suresh in the lead, along with Vennela Kishore and Shine Tom Chacko and is directed by Srikanth Odela.

Thuramukham

Based on real events from Mattancherry in Fort Kochi, Thuramukham is a fictional recount of a forgotten chapter from Kerala's history. The film, directed by Rajeev Ravi and starring Nivin Pauly in the lead highlights an important event in the history of India's working-class struggle.

Vedikettu

Vedikettu revolves around neighbouring regions Manjapra and Karingotta who can't see eye to eye. But when a young Manjapra man falls hopelessly in love with a girl from Karingotta, things get heated .Vedikettu stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George.

Pakalum Paathiravum

Pakalum Paathiravum, directed by Ajai Vasudev, has Kunchacko Boban, Rajisha Vijayan and Guru Somasundaram in the lead. The film, based on Dayal Padmanabhan’s Aa Karaala Rathri, revolves around the events that happen after a wildlife photographer stops at a house en route Wayanad.

Gurudev Hoysala

This action thriller written and directed by Vijay Naagendra, stars Dhananjaya, Amrutha Iyengar, B. S. Avinash, Achyuth Kumar. The plot revolves around an honest cop, who encounters a vast world of crime in his new posting.
