OTTplay Awards 2022: Kanika Dhillon bags the award for the Best Dialogues for Haseen Dillruba

Kanika Dhillon bagged the award for the Best Dialogues for Haseen Dillruba at the OTTplay Awards 2022. Her award was presented by Sonnalii Seygall. After receiving the award, Kanika said, "Firstly, thank you so much, HT OTTplay for this award feels very special. I'd like to thank Colour Yellow and Aanand L Rai for backing my story and making Haseen Dillruba. Hi Taapsee, What amazing timing. My Haseen Dillruba is here as I accept an award. Thank you, Vinil Mathew for giving so much love and directing Haseen Dillruba the way you did. And I would like to thank Harshvardhan for playing Neel in such a sexy and amazing manner. Thank you Vikrant, I couldn't have imagined anyone playing Rishu the way you did."

She added, "Taapsee Pannu, If I can have your attention, I'd like to thank my partner in crime, Taapsee Pannu who is as crazy as they get and thank you for being my Rumi in Manmarziyaan, thank you for Rashmi in Rashmi Rocket, thank you for Rani in Haseen Dillruba and thank you for taking all those leaps for me. My sister is here my cheerleader, through all my crazy moments and fine ones, thank you. Have a great evening and see you at the movies."

The Best Actor in a Negative Role Award at the OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 went to Harshvardhan Rane. Taapsee Pannu, on the other hand, also won the OTTplay Award for Best Female Performer in a film. Haseen Dillruba was directed by Vinil Mathew and had Vikrant Massey as part of the star cast. Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar produced the film through their companies, Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series, and Eros International. Haseen Dillruba, launched by Netflix, quickly overtook all other OTT movies in terms of viewership.

For those who are not acquainted, the inaugural OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 is an esteemed occasion from the Hindustan Times house that aims to recognise the best performers, directors, and web series from across 10 Indian languages and a number of OTT platforms who made their debuts on streaming services the previous year. The OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 were held on September 10. In Mumbai, the awards event got under way at 7.30pm on Saturday.
