The actress joked on stage about winning her 'first ever OTT award' and exclaimed, "Yayy!," while the audience burst out laughing, before starting to cheer for her.

Konkana Sen Sharma is one of the finest actors Hindi cinema has produced, ever. So, when she won the Best Supporting Actor Female in a Series for 26/11 Mumbai Diaries that's streaming on Amazon Prime Videos at the OTTplay Awards 2022, it came as no surprise to anyone present in the room.
Konkana, however, was taken back by this recoginition. She expressed her gratitude in a sweet acceptance speedch, saying, "Thank you so much. I am so happy it's my first OTT award so yayy. Foirst of all, congratulations HT (Hindustan Times) on (launching) OTTplay, high time you got into awards now. And thank you to the jury, to everybody (involvbed) and Mumbai guys. I would like to thank Nikhil Advani and director Nikhil Gonsalves, and the wondwerful crew and amazing actors that i worked with. We told such fantastic story of 26/11 and I dedicate this award to first responders everywhere for fighting for all of us. Thank you!"
She was presented the award by fellow actor Jimmy Sheirgill.
For the unversed, the inaugural OTTplay Awards and Conclave, a marquee event from the house of Hindustan Times, aims to honour the best talent, movies and web series across 10 Indian languages and a plethora of OTT platforms that premiered on streaming services the past year.
The event, which has taken place on Saturday (September 10) has opened with a conclave inviting leaders in the OTT space, celebrities, content creators, advertisers, and technology enablers to deliberate on the future of OTTs and how it will reinvent the entertainment business. This will be followed by the OTTplay Awards — India's First Pan-India OTT Award Show.
