The third edition of OTTplay Awards has once again honoured the most deserving celebrities, films, and series, which amazed us in 2024. Not only actor, but also filmmakers and musicians also bagged the prestigious award last night, on March 22. For instance, actor Jaideep Ahlawat won the 'Best Actor (Male) Critics' accolade for his outstanding performance in Prime Video's Pataal Lok Season 2.

Aparshakti Khurana's shout out to Jaideep Ahlawat

While accepting the award on stage, Jaideep Ahlawat got hugely praised by the show host, Aparshakti Khurana. We get to see that Khurana saying, "Koi awaat hai, koi jawaat hai, jo khada reh gaya, wo Jaideep Ahlawat hai (everyone comes and goes, but only Jaideep Ahlawat stands strong)." To this fun statement, the 45-year-old actor seemed to get extremely shy and showed his appreciation to Khurana's cheer.

About Pataal Lok Season 2

The Hindi crime thriller web series, Pataal Lok, was first released in 2020, and after five years, the second season came in January 2025 on Amazon Prime Video. Paatal Lok is a crime drama that follows police officer, Hathiram Chaudhary, as he delves into a high-profile murder case in northeast India, uncovering the dark secrets and realities of Indian society.

The Season 2 opens with a shocking murder case in New Delhi that takes police officer, Hathiram Chaudhary, and ACP Imran Ansari to Nagaland, where they unravel a tangled web of politics, rebellion, and crime, all while facing personal demons and tough moral choices.

However, OTTplay Awards 2025 also saw the who's who of Indian's OTT space turn up, celebrating the theme - 'One Nation, One Award'. Hina Khan, Kajol, Patralekhaa, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manoj Bajpayee, Nimisha Sajayan, Priyamani, Rakesh Roshan, Anupam Kher, Imtiaz Ali, Sunny Kaushal, Aparshakti Khurana, Avneet Kaur, and more were also honoured at the shimmering award event, which has held from film industries including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
