OTTplay Awards 2025: Divya Dutta wins Trailblazer of the Year (Female) for Sharmaji Ki Beti and Bandish Bandits S2

Divya Dutta is one of the most versatile actresses. Apart from Chhaava, she was recently seen in Sharmaji Ki Beti and Bandish Bandits Season 2. Divya bagged the Trailblazer of the Year (Female) at the third edition of OTTplay Award 2025, which was held in Mumbai on March 22.  She won the award for her roles in Sharmaji Ki Beti and Bandish Bandits S2.

Sharmaji Ki Beti stars Divya Dutta as Kiran Sharma, a girl who has moved to Mumbai from a small town and struggles with her identity and her status with her family. Her performance is heart-warming as a housewife who goes on a journey of self-discovery.

In Bandish Bandits Season 2, Divya played the role of Nandini, a music teacher with a unique philosophy and a poignant backstory centered around unrequited love, influencing Tamanna's story and resonating with the themes of Amrita Pritam's life.

Divya, who was presented the award by director Goldie Behl and Mary at the show that was hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and Kubra Sait. While receiving the Award Divya Dutta said, "Thankyou OTTplay. I think ever since I remember i would watch Amitabh Bachchan's films. I want to be launched by so and so. I want to win the best award. I have to enjoy and find joy in doing something I do." She thanked her directors for giving her the opportunity. 

OTTplay Awards 2025 also saw the who’s who of Indian OTT space turn up, celebrating the theme - “One Nation, One Award”. The Roshans, Kajol and Avneet Kaur were also honoured at the award function, which had celebs from film industries including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
