OTTplay Awards 2025: Jitendra Kumar's Panchayat Season 3 bags Best Series of the year

Jitendra Kumar, who is widely known as 'Jeetu Bhaiyya' due to Netflix's Kota Factory series, has also amazed fans with his comical performance in Prime Video's Panchayat series since 2020. Season 3 of the Hindi comedy drama was released last year in May 2024. Today, on March 22, 2025, Panchayat Season 3 wins the Best Series honour at the third edition of OTTplay Awards.

Panchayat Season 3 bags Best Series of the year

Last year was a treasure trove of thrilling new web series and new seasons that left audiences and critics utterly captivated. Amidst this impressive line-up, Panchayat Season 3 emerged as a true standout. With its relatable characters, engaging storylines, and authentic portrayal of rural life, the show resonated deeply with audiences, sparking widespread acclaim. As a result, Panchayat Season 3 cemented its place as one of the most beloved web series at the shimmering award event.

The third season of Prime Video's Panchayat takes a dramatic turn as it delves into the world of village politics, particularly the cutthroat local elections. Troublemaker Bhushan vies for the coveted position of 'Village Pradhan'. Meanwhile, Abhishek's return to Phulera creates a frenzy, and he finds himself at odds with the influential MLA Chandrakishore Singh, setting for a tense and thrilling storyline.

Jinendra Kumar's Panchayat web series is presented by The Viral Fever, which is written by Chandan Kumar, and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. Apart from Kumar, the comedy series also features Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwa.

OTTplay Awards 2025 also saw the who's who of Indian's OTT space turn up, celebrating the theme - 'One Nation, One Award'. Kajol, Imtiaz Ali, Jyotika and others were also honoured at the shimmering award event, which has held from film industries including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
