OTTplay Awards 2025: Priyamani dedicates her award to director Abhimanyu Tadimeti and the entire team of Bhamakalapam 2

The third edition of OTTplay Awards had a grand and shimmering night yesterday, on March 22, with celebrities honouring the stage across the nation. From Hindi, to Tamil, to Malayalam, to Kannada, and Telugu, celebrities like Priyamani, Kani Kasruti, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kajol, Nimisha Sajayan, Neeraj Madhav, Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpayee, and more from across languages were present at the grand festive.

Priyamani dedicated her OTTplay Award to the entire Bhamakalapam 2 team

However, South actress, Priyamani, bagged the Best Actor in a Comedy category at the Award event for her outstanding performance in Bhamakalapam 2. After proudly accepting the award, Priyamani felt amazed and nostalgic on stage. She said, "This is the first time I'm getting an award like this that too for a comedy role. I would like to thank you the entire team of Bhamakalapam."

While being little sarcastic, the 40-year-old actress said that she at first when she was signing through project, she through Bhamakalapam is a web series, "but it turned out to be a fantastic web film, and everybody loved it. They all gave love and affection to the film. And we did part 2, which also garnered much love. So, thank you to the entire team, thank you Abhi (Abhimanyu Tadimeti), and the entire cast of Bhamakalapam 2. This is for you guys."

Released in 2024, Bhamakalapam 2 is the sequel of the 2022 Telugu crime comedy drama. Both the films are directed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti, and are streaming on Aha, which you will also be able to watch through OTTplay Premium.

OTTplay Awards 2025 also saw the who's who of Indian's OTT space turn up, celebrating the theme - 'One Nation, One Award'. Patrlekhaa, Anupam Kher, Aparshakti Khurana, Raghav Juyal, Avneet Kaur, Divya Dutta, and many other esteemed celebs were also honoured at the shimmering award event, which was held in Mumbai.
