OTTplay Awards 2025: Rajesh Roshan, Rakesh Roshan and Shashi Ranjan share the honours for The Roshans as it wins Best Documentary series

Shashi Ranjan's documentary 'The Roshans' earned recognition for its impressive take on Bollywood's beloved Roshan family. The Netflix documentary series titled, The Roshans, marks the first victory for Rajesh Roshan, Rakesh Roshan and Shashi Ranjan at the OTTplay Awards as they shared the honours.

The Roshans beautifully captures the timeless essence of the Roshan family. From the musical journey of Roshan Saab and Rajesh Roshan to the path-breaking success of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan, the documentary showcases their legacy as renowned artists of the Indian cinema. The Roshans features Roshan Lal Nagrath, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan. It emerged as the deserving winner for the Best documentary series catergory at the OTTplay awards.

After receiving the honours at the show, the winners expressed their gratitude and said, Shashi Ranjan said, "Thank you for recognising our contribution. I congratulate OTTplay for creating more amazing stories. You can't falter making a documentary like The Roshans"

The biggest stars in the Indian OTT space (Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam) graced their presence at the OTTplay Awards 2025, which celebrated the theme "One Nation, One Award."  From Divya Dutta, Kani Kasrut, Akshay Oberoi, and various artists were recognized and shared honours at OTTplay's star-studded event.
