The OTTplay Awards 2025 turned out to be a spectacular event, bringing together actors and artists from across the nation under one roof to celebrate the art that impressed, moved, and made us fall in love with storytelling throughout the year.

One of the most legendary moments of the evening was when Rajesh Roshan and Rakesh Roshan, along with Shashi Ranjan, graced the stage to accept the Best Documentary Series award for The Roshans on Netflix. However, the real highlight came when veteran composer Rajesh Roshan took the audience by surprise by singing two lines from an iconic romantic song from Hrithik Roshan’s debut movie, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.

Renowned veteran music composer Rajesh Roshan has created some of the most iconic film soundtracks, with his albums cherished by generations. So, when he stepped onto the OTTplay Awards 2025 stage, it was only natural for the audience to request him to sing a few lines.

Rajesh Roshan on The Roshans Documentary

The Netflix documentary The Roshans explores the legacy of the Roshan family, their journey in the film industry, and the challenges of carrying forward their cinematic heritage.

While accepting the award, Rajesh Roshan revealed that he was initially reluctant to be part of the documentary but was ultimately convinced by Rakesh Roshan. "I would like to thank Rakesh because he took it right from the start. I was not so eager to do this documentary because I am a very simple guy, but he pushed me. He was like, 'No, you have to do it.' And I did it." He further expressed his gratitude and added:"I am overwhelmed by the love the entire nation has showered on the Roshans."
