OTTplay Changemakers Awards 2023: Prajakta Koli wins ‘Creator of the Year’ title

YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli was named the Creator of the Year at the prestigious OTTplay Changemakers Awards 2023 tonight, presented by Priya Mani and Satyam Manohar, Business Head (West) Real Fruit Juices and Beverages. Last year, the creator made her silver screen debut with Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo. The glittery award ceremony - which took place at JW Marriott (Juhu), Mumbai - was attended by the who’s who of the Indian film fraternity.

She enjoys a massive fan following with more than six million subscribers on YouTube and is one of the leading creators in the country. Along with being a creator, she has represented India at the global level. Earlier this month Prajakta was also appointed as a member of an advisory group of The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2022. She was also part of the delegation of YouTube stars covering the World Economic Forum's annual meeting at Davos.

While speaking about her creative process, she said that she has an inner circle that provides her with a reality check and helps her stay grounded. She also acknowledges that it is due to the support of her fan base that she has reached this global stage. For her, a content creator is someone who impacts lives in a positive way.

Prajakta and Rohit Saraf starrer Mismatched is about two individuals who juggle between love, life and studies. The show also features Ranvijay Singha, Vidya Malvade, among others. She also played Ginny, Varun Dhawan’s sister in Raj Mehta’s 2022 family drama film Jugjugg Jeeyo.
