The new mini-series starring Amanda Seyfried and Naveen Andrews is about the real-life story of disgraced biotechnology entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes and her health technology company, Theranos. It delves into the rise and fall of the fraudulent entrepreneur who established the company at the age of just 19. The series stars Amanda Seyfried as the lead, while Naveen Andrews plays the role of Sunny Balwani, the former President of Theranos.

1. Amanda Seyfried who plays the lead role of Elizabeth Holmes and Naveen Andrews who plays Sunny Balwani are very close in age to the real characters. However, the opening scenes featuring a teenage Elizabeth Holmes is a little out of place as a 35-year old Seyfried portrays both the younger and older versions of Holmes. The age gap is not as obvious for Naveen Andrews for his character.
2. To essay the role of Sunny Balwani, actor Naveen Andrews wore prosthetics and added nearly 12 kgs to his body weight.
3. Saturday Night Live star Kate Mckinnon was originally cast as Elizabeth Holmes until she dropped out in early 2021.
4. Amanda Seyfried told the Entertainment Weekly that she had apprehensions about imitating Elizabeth Holme's deep voice, which, ironically, some believed was fake. She was worried that it would prove to be unhealthy for her vocal cords. However, her voice coach reassured her that she need not worry about any health issues.
5. In an interview actor, Naveen Andrews admitted that he learned to adapt on set regarding last-minute changes to the script. He added that he was not very enthusiastic about the last-minute changes made by writer Liz Meriwether, but his younger co-star Amanda Seyfried encouraged him to be more open about the idea. Something which he says he is thankful for.
