Outer Banks season 2 will drop on Netflix this month.

A year after the successful first season of Outer Banks, Netflix is bringing the second part of the mystery show. The trailer for the upcoming series has been dropped and features Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline and others reprising their roles from the first season. The second season will be out on Netflix on July 30, 2021.
Netflix gives a hint about the show stating, "The treasure belongs to the pogues. Let's get after it."
While the premise is described as "With a fortune in gold at stake and their futures on the line, the Pogues rush headlong into danger and a fresh mystery as they face foes old and new."
Outer Banks started with Chase's character John B enlisting his three best friends on a treasure hunt which is connected to the disappearance of his father.
The series also featured Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten, Drew Starkey and others in pivotal roles
The first season of Outer Banks touted as a breakout drama fetched a 7.6 rating on IMDb and even received accolades. The show won The Bingeworthy Show of 2020 at the People's Choice Awards. Whereas Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline bagged the Best Kiss award at MTV Movie & TV Awards held earlier this year.
Talking about the second season, Lost actor Elizabeth Mitchell will be once again seen playing an important role as Limbrey. While Carlacia Grant, who was a part of Roots and Game of Silence will featuring in a recurring role in Outer Banks season 2.
Back in 2020, Outer Banks entangled in a legal case after author named Kevin Wooten claimed the plot of the show is inspired by his novel titled Pennywise: The Hunt For Blackbeard's Treasure! He filed a lawsuit against the makers as well as the streaming platform.
