Malayalam film, Pa Va, has finally made its long-awaited OTT debut. The comedy drama, which stars Anoop Menon and Murali Gopy in lead roles, is now streaming on Manorama Max.
Pa Va out on Manorama Max
The movie, which released in theatres in July 2016, began streaming on the popular Malayalam OTT platform recently. It is reasonable to assume that the film's dismal performance in box office led to the delay in online release. Pa Va is now available on Manorama Max in Malayalam with English subtitles. The film received praise for its humorous themes and acting, despite its poor box office result.
Manorama Max will also release Anaswara Rajan's Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal and Jayaraj's most recent film, Shanthamee Raathriyil, in August. Sooraj Tom made his directorial debut with Pa Va, also called Pappanekkurichum Varkeyekkurichum. His second directorial, Vishesham, received favourable reviews from audiences. Vishesham is available for streaming on OTTplay Premium and Sun NXT. In the lead parts of Pa Va, Anoop Menon and Murali Gopy play two elderly buddies.
The film tells the story of two childhood pals, Devassy Paappan (Paappan) and Perianthanam Varkichan (Varkey), who are inseparable despite having quite different personalities. The film, which was written by Ajish Thomas, features important performances by Indrans, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, KPAC Lalitha, Prayaga Martin, Renjini, Renji Panicker and Muthumani. The film's soundtracks were composed by Anand Madhusoodanan. He had portrayed the main character in Vishesham, directed by Sooraj. Kiran Das is the editor of Pa Va, and Satheesh Kurup oversaw the camera work. Siyad Muhammad produced it under the Safa Entertainment banner. 'Podimeesa', a song from the movie, is still one of the most listened to songs today.
