Show overview:
Talking about the series, Singh stated that they are thrilled to be embarking on a brand-new adventure with Paan Parda Zarda in association with Jio Studios. The series is vivid and engaging, with a backdrop of illegal opium smuggling in central India, and has love stories, adventure, and family drama. Relationships are the focus of this show, which was developed from an original concept by showrunner and co-director Shilpi Dasgupta.
According to Lamba, Paan Parda Zarda is the result of many years of work and dedication. Viewers will enjoy being immersed in a setting they haven't seen before as the drama unfolds. For Gurmmeet Singh, Shilpi Dasgupta, and him, finally getting to share this story with an audience is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For Varma, it was liberating to create the romantic and violent world of Paan Parda Zarda. Characters and plot points outside the standard of movie storytelling took flight in their minds. An additional perk of working on the series was getting to team up with familiar faces and new acquaintances.
