Paashbalish actor Suhotra Mukhopadhyay to debut as a playback singer?

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay is a new-gen actor whose work is praised by the audience. He made his place in Tollywood for his work in series and cinema. The actor made a remarkable impact with his Hoichoi show, Daakghor. He paired up with Ishaa Saha in Zee5’s latest, Paashbalish. Now, he is set to debut as a singer.

Suhotra has been a music lover since his childhood and was trained for some time. However, he never thought of choosing music as his profession. Now, the scope to sing came in his film, Aranyar Prachin Probad. Suhotra sang at the behest of director Dulal Dey. He told Anandabazar Online, “I hummed in a scene of the film. The director heard that and decided to make me sing the song. But it is not that I am a singer. This is the first time. Dulal da encouraged me to do it.”

Suhotra made it clear that he sang only because his director wanted it. He has no intention to take up music as part of his profession.

Suhotra’s last series Paashbalish has received moderate reviews. He plays a specially abled man in love with Ishaa’s character. Meanwhile, Aranyer Prachin Probad is directed by Dulal Dey. Suhotra said that he does not know Dulal well. But he found the journalistic self within the director while working. Suhotra met the director while he was working on the series Mukti. Now, that acquaintance has become solid with this film. The film is set to be released in July. Jeetu Kamal, Silajit, Rafiat Rashid Mithila, and Loknath Dey play other pivotal roles in the film.
