Paathirathri gets a release date! Here's when Navya Nair-Soubin Shahir film will hit the big screen

The release date for the upcoming Malayalam movie, Paathirathri, has finally been announced by the film's makers. The thriller, which stars Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir in the key parts, is scheduled to be released in theatres in the coming week.

Paathirathri's producers just revealed the teaser and posters, confirming the movie's October release date. They hadn't, however, given a precise release date. In the meantime, it has been confirmed that the film will open in theatres on October 17. The same date has not been set for the release of any other Malayalam movie. On October 16, Sharaf U Dheen's The Pet Detective and Rima Kallingal's Theatre: The Myth of Reality will be released.

Paathrirathri cast, trailer, sand other details

Significant parts are played by Sunny Wayne, Ann Augustine, Shabareesh Varma, Indrans, Athmiya Rajan, and Harisree Ashokan in this movie. An important part of this film is also played by Achyuth Kumar, a Kannada actor best known for his work in Kantara. According to earlier theories, Pathirathri, which translates to "midnight," is based on real-life events and takes place against the backdrop of Idukki. Jakes Bejoy, who most recently collaborated on Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, composed the music for Pathirathri. The creator of the screenplay is Shaji Maraad.

The trailer, which was made public two days ago, features Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir as Jancy and Hareesh, a couple. Jancy is senior to Hareesh, who appears to be a constable. The trailer makes their uneasy connection evident as they lead a probe into the murder and abduction of a 18-year-old. It is clear that this inquiry sets off a series of unanticipated events that endanger everyone's relationships, professions, and lives. The trailer also previews another suspenseful thriller by Ratheena, who directed the highly regarded Malayalam movie Puzhu. This film, which stars Mammootty and Parvathy Thiruvothu, is available to watch on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.
