After a filmmaker and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) had stated that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil had tried to walk out of his upcoming release, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, midway through its shoot, the film body officials have denied that there was ever a complaint filed against the Pushpa 2 star.
In an interview with an online channel, a filmmaker said that Fahadh was one among the young actors that several producers had trouble with. The director, on condition of anonymity, had said that Fahadh had tried to opt out of the movie after half its shoot was complete. This, after the movie was delayed by almost two years, due to the pandemic.
The director further alleged that Fahadh has a tendency of allotting the same dates to multiple movies and have often ended up not working in any of them. This had led to several producers and filmmakers approaching FEFKA with complaints. FEFKA, however, has now come out, stating that the makers of Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum had never filed any grievance against the actor and the rumours are unfounded.
Incidentally, the director had also said that Nivin Pauly was another actor, who had dropped out of his film midway. Nivin reportedly clarified to the same online media that he had never walked out of the said film – Thaaram, which he is also producing. The actor said that the plan was to always resume the shoot of the film after he had a physical transformation as he is playing a superstar in the movie, which is directed by Vinay Govind.
Nivin also explained that the cast of the movie is also the same and will not undergo any change, unlike what the director had informed. The actor further added that he will be joining the sets of the movie as soon as he completes the shoot of his current project, which is helmed by Jana Gana Mana filmmaker Dijo Jose Antony.
