Padakkalam OTT release date: When and where to stream Suraj Venjaramoodu's fantasy film online

Malayalam latest film, Padakkalam, is all set to make its digital debut soon. The fantasy drama, which stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles, will be streaming on JioHotstar from next week.

The film, which is having a digital debut a month after its theatrical release, will be available on JioHotstar from 12 am on June 10. Recently, Mohanlal's Thudarum began streaming on the same platform in multiple languages. Padakkalam began screening in theatres along with Asif Ali's Sarkeet and Dileep's Prince and Family on May 8.

Padakkalam centres on a body-swapping concept

Despite being touted as a dismal film, Padakkalam, which revolves around the idea of body-swapping, has a few humorous moments. The film is set in a college with two professors- Ranjith and Shaji- as protagonists. 

Despite the fact that both are eyeing the chair of their college's department, the students all support Ranjith because they get along well with him. Shaji gets the job, but his abruptly strange attitude compels him to ho on leave. Meanwhile, one of their students, Jithin, learns that Shaji's peculiar attitude is due to Ranjith, who is familiar with dark magic. Their lives take an unexpected turn when Jithin and his friends steal Ranjith's Pachisi set, which gives him the ability to use black magic. The main focus of the movie is their attempts to clean up the mess. 

Manu Swaraj has directed this fantasy drama, which also stars Falimy-fame Sandeep Pradeep, Arun Ajikumar, and Saaf Bros in pivotal roles. Suraj played a significant part in L2: Empuraan, while Sharaf U Deen starred in the most recent Malayalam films, Bougainvillea and Level Cross. The female lead is Niranjana Anoop, who played the protagonist in The Secret of Women recently.
