Padakkalam out on OTT: Here's where to stream Suraj Venjaramoodu's fantasy film online

Malayalam latest film, Padakkalam, has made its digital debut a month after its theatrical release. The fantasy drama, which stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles, is now streaming on JioHotstar.

The film, which is having a digital debut following a successful run in theatre for a month, began streaming on JioHotstar from 12 am on June 10. Apart from Malayalam, Padakkalam is accessible to watch in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Mohanlal's Thudarum started to stream in multiple languages on the same platform recently. Even though Padakkalam was released with Asif Ali's Sarkeet and Dileep's Prince and Family, it did well in theatres, with many people complimenting its humorous aspects.

What is Padakkalam all about?

Padakkalam, which centres on the concept of body-swapping, has some funny moments while being hailed as a passable entertainer. Ranjith and Shaji, two engineering professors, are the main characters in this college-set movie. 

The students all favour Ranjith since they get along with him, even though they are both vying for the position of head of their department at the engineering institution. Shaji is hired, but his suddenly odd behaviour forces him to take a leave of absence. Jithin, one of their students, discovers that Ranjith, who is trained in dark magic, is the cause of Shaji's bizarre demeanour. When Ranjith's Pachisi set, which enables him to utilise black magic, is stolen by Jithin and his pals, their lives take an unforeseen turn. Their several amusing attempts to clean up the mess are the primary subject of the film. 

Arun Ajikumar, Saaf Bros, and Falimy-fame Sandeep Pradeep play important roles in this fantasy drama, which was directed by debutante Manu Swaraj. Sharaf U Deen starred in the most recent Malayalam films, Bougainvillea and Level Cross, while Suraj appeared in Lucifer's sequel, L2: Empuraan. Niranjana Anoop plays the female lead. The producers of Padakkalam are Vijay Babu and Vijay Subramaniam.
