Padma’s second teaser featuring Anoop Menon, Surabhi Lakshmi and Alexa will have you in stitches

The second teaser to Padma, directed by actor-scriptwriter Anoop Menon, was released recently. The teaser for the movie starring Anoop Menon and National Award winner Surabhi Lakshmi also features Shruthi Rajanikanth, who became a fan favourite owing to her role as Painkily in the TV series Chakkappazham.

The short teaser is hilarious, involving an Alexa voice assistant and a Tik Tok dance. Anoop Menon and his young son watching Shruthi dancing to Dhuk Dhuk are interrupted by Surabhi in the vignette, which also has Ambi Neenasam. The movie will see the return of Surabhi Lakshmi in a titular role after some time. Padma will see Anoop and Surabhi play a married couple. 

The movie will be Anoop Menon’s debut maiden production venture under his home production banner. The first teaser of the movie was released in May by Mohanlal and had the married couple having a conversation over a stained shirt.

Padma, which is written and directed by Anoop Menon, has Mahadevan Thampi as its cinematographer. Padma will be edited by Zian Sreekanth and Ninoy Varghese will be the music composer. 

Anoop Menon, who started out as an actor, is also known to be a screenwriter, having written movies such as Beautiful, Trivandrum Lodge and Hotel California. He made his directorial debut with King Fish. Also written by him, King Fish starred ace director Ranjith and Niranjana Anoop. 

Surabhi Lakshmi, who was the winner of the show Best Actor, became a household name with her role as Paathu in the show M80 Moosa. The actress won the National Award for Best Actress in 2016 for her role in the film Minnaminungu.
