Pakistani actress Syeda Mehreen Shah alleges being harrassed by Indian producer, Pakistani director

Pakistani actress Syeda Mehreen Shah has come forward with shocking allegations against Indian producer Raj Gupta as well as Pakistani director Ehsan Ali. The actress accused the duo of harassing her during the course of a film shoot in Baku, Azerbaijan.

In a video, the actress is heard saying that the reason she is speaking out is because she wants to warn other actresses about the duo. She first names Ali, saying that she had gotten into contact with him after a friend recommended her name. The actress alleged that she had to face a lot of stress, anxiety and harassment after she came to Baku for the shoot.

She also named Gupta, and opened up about how the harassment began in a veiled way, through unprofessional comments and behaviour that made her feel uncomfortable. She narrated an incident where Gupta grabbed her hand without her permission when they were shooting a BTS video, which the director laughed off. Shah says that she had learnt to ignore such behaviour in the industry, but felt compelled to speak up now as she wanted others in the industry to be wary of the duo.

Towards the end of the video, the actress alleged that after being rejected by her multiple times, their behaviour towards her changed completely, and on the last day of the shoot, she was not invited for dinner either.

According to DNA, Shah also alleged that Gupta invited sex workers to their hotel, and she ignored it at the time. The duo also refused to give her food. The actress added that she was helped in the ordeal by a crew member, after she fell ill.
