Palak Tiwari on Shweta Tiwari: She felt secured when I started working with Salman Khan

Palak Tiwari followed in her mother, Shweta Tiwari’s, footsteps and made her acting debut with the Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Talking about the shooting process, Palak revealed that her mother did not worry so much, because she was doing a film with Salman, and she felt secure that everything would be going smoothly.

Speaking to Mid-Day, Palak said, “I feel she would be keeping much more tabs on me if she didn’t realise I was doing a Salman sir film. But she feels so secure that it's a film with him so everything must be going so smoothly that she doesn't worry as much.”

Commenting on the bond that she shares with her mother, Palak said that she has been very attached to her mother since she was a child and calls her mother 30 times a day. “It's a proper ek tarfa pyaar (one-sided love). I'm obsessed with my mom and she just bears me. She has to because I'm her daughter. But I'm obsessed with my mom. I still call her 30 times a day and she ignores most of my calls," she elaborated.

Shweta, who has been working in the industry for more than two decades now, is hailed for her performances in television shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Parvarrish, Begusarai, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan and Main Hoon Aparajita. Palak reminisced about her mother’s shooting days and revealed that she would sometimes go visit her on the set during long working hours and would not leave her mother’s side.

Palak made her first on-screen appearance with Harrdy Sandhu’s music video Bijlee Bijlee. She will be seen next in The Virgin Tree, starring Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh and Mouni Roy.
