Diganth Manchale and Nidhi Subbaiah's on-screen chemistry in the 2010 film Pancharangi endeared the Kannada audiences immensely. The cat-and-mouse equation and the friendly banter between the two in the Yogaraj Bhat directorial is still recalled by many but despite the success, the on-screen pairing hasn't been repeated ever since.
Cut to 12 years later and Diganth and Nidhi have finally found the perfect opportunity to reunite on screen. Nidhi Subbaiah, according to the latest reports, has been roped in to play a key role in the film Edagaiya Apaghatakke Karana which Diganth Manchale headlines along with Dhanu Harsha.
While the details of Nidhi's part in Samarth B. Kadkol's film are kept under the wraps, the same reports share that the actress has been brought on board for a prominent character in the film and that she has already begun shooting for her portions. Nidhi too, without divulging much, took to social media to share a picture of her latest meeting with Diganth and all her followers were super glad to see the Pancharangi Jodi together in one frame.
Referring to Diganth Manchale's character of Bharath in Pancharangi and quoting a line from the same film, Nidhi Subbaiah wrote: "Hey Bharat… Alli america dhalli hunse hann sigalwanthe, howdha?" (Hey Bharat... I hear you don't find tamarind pulp in America, is that true?).
Nidhi Subbaiah made her acting debut in 2009 with Abhimaani and found her first prominent role in the Ramesh Aravind and Neethu starrer Krishna Nee Late Aagi Baaro. Aside from Pancharangi, some of her main acting credits include Krishnan Marriage Story alongside Ajay Rao, Suri's Anna Bond (alongside Priyamani and Puneeth Rajkumar), and her most recent outing Ayushman Bhava which stars Shiva Rajkumar. Nidhi Subbaiah also featured as a contestant in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8.
As far as Edagaiya Apaghatakke Karana, the film directed by Samarth B. Kadkol deals with the issues faced by left-handers or southpaws with Diganth Manchale playing the central role alongside Dhanu Harsha. The film is a joint production of Gurudatha Ganiga and Samarth Kadkol.
