Panchavalsara Padhathi OTT release date: When and where to watch Siju Wilson's comedy-drama

Siju Wilson-starrer Panchavalsara Padhathi, which was released in theatres in April 2024, is finally set for its OTT premiere. The Malayalam film, directed by noted filmmaker Premlal, will be available for streaming on Manorama Max from December 31, 2024.

Panchavalsara Padhathi, a comedy-drama movie headlined by Siju Wilson, will be available on Manorama Max and OTTplay Premium from Tuesday. The movie will be available in the original Malayalam language with English subtitles.

Siju Wilson stars in the lead role of Sanoj, a layman who runs an Akshaya Centre in a small village. The village, with its rustic charm and quirky characters, is central to the plot of the film which tracks the events after a local legend makes an appearance. Much of the film is driven by comedy and the performances of the characters.

Apart from Siju Wilson, Nisha Sarang also appears in a key role, along with Sudheesh, Harish Pengan, Sibi Thomas, and Jolly Chirayath, who are part of the supporting cast. Before the film’s release, Siju Wilson had said that he always tried to pick the right content and this was one movie that was very relevant in the current scenario.

Award-winning director Premlal helmed the film, while the script was penned by Sajeev Pazhoor, who had also written Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. Sajeev Pazhoor also won a National Award for Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum which starred Fahadh Faasil, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Nimisha Sajayan.

Panchavalsara Padhathi, a Shaan Rahman musical, has lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahammed and Engandiyoor Chandrasekharan.

However, the small-budget movie had arrived in cinemas without much fanfare and it remains to be seen if the film will gain any traction upon its OTT premiere. If entertainers, with a touch of satire and social messaging, pique your interest, then watch out for Panchavalsara Padhathi on Manorama Max.

Another Malayalam film Oshana, led by Dhyan Sreenivasan, is also set to land on Manorama Max on Tuesday. Althaf Salim and Varsha Viswanath are also part of the film.
