Panchayat 2 actor Jitendra Kumar attributes the success of Season 1 to the story’s simplicity

With its cheerful humor, Panchayat has remained a crowd favorite, and enthusiasm for the second season has been building ever since. And, based on what we've seen so far, this season of Panchayat is expected to gradually and perhaps leap into a spark-filled angle between the protagonist Abhishek, portrayed by Jeetu, and Rinky, played by Sanvikaa.

Panchayat's widespread success can be attributed to its sympathetic and realistic approach to recounting rural stories in modern times. While the show prepares for its premiere on May 20, star actor Jitendra Kumar speaks with a leading newspaper.

Jeetu, who portrays Abhishek Tripathi in the show, spoke about the love and admiration he is receiving from fans all around the world. While they were producing the show, the way they were shooting it was a terrific experience for him, the actor said when asked if things changed for him after the show's success. He was confident that the end result of their endeavors would be lovely. He was surprised by how the show reached out to the crowd. He was also blown away by the response they received, and had no clue they would be showered with such love and support.

Following the success of the show, he had the assurance that despite having a simple storyline, the drama did well enough and reached out to the public, Jeetu continues. And with Panchayat, popularity came quickly because the public enjoyed it. This gave him self-assurance and led him to believe in himself. "Simple stories have taken the space, and the audience is loving it”, he said. Such storylines have taken over the media, and the public is eagerly anticipating its continuation. Season 2 with much confidence and certainty, and the makers are anxious to see how the public reacts.

Panchayat Season 2 will air on Prime Video on May 20th in India and in 240 countries and territories globally. Following the huge success of Panchayat 1, the series stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghuvir Yadav, and Neena Gupta in significant roles.
