What’s better than watching The God of Mischief unleash chaos and mayhem. This time, he’s actually being asked to do it. Marvel’s latest stint into the world of web-series is Loki, which has been trending on almost every social media platform leading up to its release on Disney+ Hotstar on June 9. Indian audiences in particular have been thrilled to see the show, which is all set to release in English, and dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. However, the wait for the dubbed versions has just gotten a little bit longer, with Disney+ Hotstar revealing that an unexpected delay has stalled the subsequent release.

Loki will be the third web-series from the MCU and will feature the eponymous Marvel anti-hero on a mission that reveals what really happened to the tesseract after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The series also stars Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, who plays an official of the Time Variance Authority where Loki has been brought to fix the timeline that he unintentionally disrupted by stealing the tesseract.

No official reason has been given for the delay of the dubbed versions yet. However, contrary reports have said that the process of dubbing has been delayed due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in India. The Disney+ Hotstar support team took to Twitter to clarify that the six episodes of the series will be made available in the three regional languages at a later date.

Loki will be the first MCU series to focus on an alternate version of a main character from the previous films. The first episode of Loki premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on June 9 and a fresh episode will premiere every Wednesday after that.
