Joju George, the popular actor is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming action drama, Pani. The much-awaited film is set to get a pan-Indian release.

Joju George established himself as one of the most versatile actors in Malayalam cinema over the years, with back-to-back powerful performances. After a long wait, the talented actor is now making his directorial debut with the upcoming project, Pani. The movie, which is touted to be an action-drama, features Joju George himself in the lead role, along with young actors, Sagar Surya and Junaiz VP. In a recent interview, the actor-filmmaker confirmed that Pani is releasing five languages.
In his recent chat with a leading Malayalam media, Joju George extensively spoke about the release of his directorial debut, Pani. According to the actor-filmmaker, the movie was initially planned as a small-scale Malayalam release. The director also plays one of the lead roles in the film, which is based on the backdrop of his hometown Thrissur. Joju George was not thinking about releasing the film in other languages, while he was writing or making the film.
However, things changed after Joju George showed the film to the senior filmmaker Joshiy, and some popular directors of the Tamil film industry. The Porinju Mariyam Jose director and Joju’s Tamil cinema friends, who are highly impressed with Pani, urged the director to consider releasing the film in other languages. That is how Joju George and his team eventually decided to have a pan-Indian release for the film in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Director Joju George himself plays the lead role in Pani, along with Sagar Surya, and Junaiz VP, who are best known for their stint in the Bigg Boss Malayalam show. Abhinaya, veteran actress Seema, Sujith Shankar, Prashanth Alexander, Ranjith Velayudhan, Bobby Kurian, Rinosh George, Jayashanker, actress-singer Abhaya Hiranmayi, and others play pivotal roles in the film.
Venu ISC and Jinto George handled the cinematography of the film. Vishnu Vijay composed the songs and Sam CS handled the background score. Manu Antony handles the editing. Ajayan Adat handles the Sound Design and Sound Design. Pani is produced by M. Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan, under the banner Appu Paathu Pappu Productions.
