Every Friday, the sun rises proverbially on someone and enables that person to rise and shine! There have been many instances wherein relatively unknown names have gone ahead to conquer and rule the entertainment arena, purely on the basis of their talent. Period. They are the ones who come without any Godfathers. They are the ones to get up on their own in case they fall down. Well, Bollywood’s very own stellar artist Pankaj Tripathi is one such example of what a person can do purely on the basis of his hard work, dedication and perseverance.

Except for the fact that Pankaj Tripathi hails from a poor background and his father being a farmer in a village, not much is known about the man who has kind of revolutionised Bollywood... in many ways than one. In a recent interview with Loksatta, revealed that he had his upbringing in a village for as many as 23 years and that they were lower-middle class. He also recalled that he used to tell the hotel people to give in small portions as he hated to waste the food. He added that, even though today, he was not middle class, but, still, he gets worried whenever a spoon of rice gets wasted, thanks to his middle-class values which are still there in him.

The actor, who was recently seen in an extremely memorable performance in ‘Fukrey 3’, revealed that he had witnessed his late father working in fields, despite an injury on his feet. He added that he has seen a lot of struggles in his life, but he refrains from telling them to people as many would feel that he’s trying to gain sympathy. He also made it a point to mention that, whenever one narrates the underdog story, people put music behind it and make reels!

As for ‘Fukrey 3’, besides Pankaj Tripathi, it also stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha in the leading roles. The film has been directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Pankaj Tripathi will now be seen in the upcoming film 'Main Atal Hoon'.
