Pankaj Tripathi to feature in Amit Rai's Oh My Dog film for kids? Here's what we know

Amit Rai directed Oh My God 2, starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, is one of the most educational movies as it teaches various lessons of life. The film received a lot of attention and was loved by many. Now, as per a report, the filmmaker is ready to make another film, titled Oh My Dog and this time it will be for kids, and the report mentioned that Pankaj Tripathi might be seen in the film. 

Amit Rai's Oh My Dog update

Pinkvilla reported that Amit Rai will direct a film, Oh My Dog, with a fresh cast, and it will be a slice-of-life film. Sources related to this film have confirmed that 90 per cent of the shooting of the film has already been completed. Apart from this, the report also mentioned that the one and only Pankaj Tripathi might have a cameo appearance in the film. 

Meanwhile, Amit Rai's Oh My God 2 starred Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. We cannot wait for more updates about the new film.

Oh My God 3 in the cards?

Amit Rai has already begun working on Oh My God 3. A source shared that he has multiple ideas for OMG 3 (Oh My God 3), and he discussed all the plot points with Akshay Kumar throughout the stay. 

"The duo brainstormed on all the ideas and also discussed possible new routes that could be taken in OMG 3. The intent is to continue with the most loved franchise, and take the third part on floors in 2026," a source shared. 

Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar's work front

Pankaj has recently been seen in JioHotstar's Criminal Justice Season 4: A Family Matter. Although fans praised Tripathi's acting, they are disappointed as only three episodes were released. The streaming platform announced that fans will get a new episode every Thursday. 

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar, who was recently seen in Kesari Chapter 2, is gearing up for the release of Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film will hit theatres on June 6. The film has two climaxes, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. 

The cast of Housefull 5 features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
