After the news of Deepika Padukone's exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit due to her demand to work 6 hours as she is a new mom, several actors and filmmakers expressed their support for working limited work hours. Recently, Pankaj Tripathi demanded an 8-hour shift and talked about the importance of setting boundaries in the workplace and learning to politely say 'no' when those boundaries are crossed.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Pankaj Tripathi said that he indeed finds it difficult to say ‘no,’ and has been practicing it. “Right now, I’m practicing saying ‘no.’ Because everyone should know where the boundary is – that this is the line, and beyond this, it’s a polite ‘no,'" he said.

Recalled days when his work hours kept getting extended for 16 to 18 hours on set, Tripathi said that the work hours are getting stretched. "I am working 16–18 hours straight. I’m even saying, the actor has left, the labourers are still waiting," he said.

The actor also suggested that you should just politely say, 'no,' and added that whatever is left can be done tomorrow.
