Paoli Dam to play a victim of domestic Violence in a web series?

Paoli has completed shooting her Bengali web series, Julie, for Addatimes. According to sources, the actress is now gearing up for another web series for Hoichoi. Billed as a women-oriented web series, the show is directed by Souvik Kundu and the shooting has started. The working title of the show is Gutipoka.  

Paoli is reportedly acting as a victim of domestic violence in the series. She plays the character of a teacher and the story revolves around the relationship between a teacher and her student. It will tell the story of Paoli’s timid character’s retaliation. A source in the unit said, “The series will portray how a woman becomes a butterfly from a pupa.” 

Bias Dhar, who became popular after her performance in Abar Proloy, plays Paoli’s student. Sourav Chakraborty, Chandan Sen, Sankar Debnath, Falguni Chatterjee, Bidipta Chakraborty, Prantik Banerjee, and Sinjini Chakraborty will play other roles. The makers have not yet officially announced the series. This will be Souvik’s debut web series, to be released in Hoichoi. 

Acropolis Entertainment is producing the series. Its working title is Gutipoka, but the name can be changed. The shooting is supposed to end this week. The release day is not yet final. 

Paoli recently finished shooting a web series Julie, which is directed by Aritra Sen. It also features Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, and others. Paoli plays a politician in that series.
