Vishal Bharadwaj’s short film Fursat, which features Wamiqa Gabbi, Salman Yusuff Khan, Ishaan Khattar, and others has garnered appreciation. Now the National Award-winning director is all set to debut in the OTT space with a full-blown series. The filmmaker will adopt Agatha Christie’s iconic mystery novel, The Sittafford Mystery, which has been renamed, Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley. Paoli, who has been working regularly on National platforms, will be seen as a part of the series. Besides, the series will also feature, Fursat-fame Wamiqa Gabbi, Priyanshu Painyuli, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Lara Dutta, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and others.

Paoli took to her social media to repost Vishal Bhardwaj’s photo of a clapstick with details. His caption read, “Sony LIV brings to you 'Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley,' an adaptation of Agatha Christie's renowned detective fiction mystery novel 'The Sittaford Mystery'. The series is helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj's home banner, Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures, and Priti Shahani's 'Tusk Tale Films' in association with Agatha Christie Limited.” On Vishal’s Instagram post, Paoli wrote, “Super excited for this one.”

Unlike Agatha Christie’s iconic detective characters Hercule Poirot and Ms Marple, there is no The Sittaford Mystery is an independent whodunit. The original story is set on a snowy wintry night. The Indian adaptation is also set in the backdrop of the snow-capped mountain of Himachal Pradesh. Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan have co-written the script with Vishal, who is also co-producing the show.
