Paparazzo mistakes brother-sister Rhea Chakraborty-Showik as couple, her response

Rhea Chakraborty arrived at Ira Khan’s wedding reception with her brother Showik. Much to everybody’s surprise, a paparazzo mistakenly called them a ‘couple.’ This led to chaos and eventually, Rhea gave her response. It is to be noted that Rhea and Showik were arrested in the drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, and the news was covered widely in media outlets.

What actually happened

Rhea and Showik were posing for the cameras, when a photographer passed the comment, “Nice jodi.” Others present, who were well aware that they are siblings, corrected him. Another paparazzo passed the comment, “Arre bhai hai unka! Kuch bhi bana raha hai.” This invoked a response from Rhea.

In her response, Rhea said that it is because of such people that rumours start. She then went ahead with her brother. Rhea seems to be pointing out at how some celebrities are often tagged as couples, probably when they aren’t even sure themselves at that point.

Rhea’s career

Rhea was among the actresses trying to make it in Bollywood, when Sushant’s demise came as a shocker. She was his girlfriend at the time. Sushant’s father alleged that Rhea abetted his son’s death, post which investigations commenced on her and her whole family. Sushant’s demise opened up the drug mafia case and Rhea and Showik were made to serve time in prison for the same. They are currently out on bail. On the work front, Rhea was last seen in Roadies 19. She was also recently granted permission to travel abroad for work and thus, she could be seen in more projects in the near future.
