Actor Anupama Parameswaran is gearing up for the release of her next film, Telugu social drama Paradha. With the film set to release in a few days, Anupama, who had played a major role in Tamil blockbuster film Dragon, once again will be headlining another Tamil film this year, with Bison. The sports drama is scheduled to release for Diwali and here is what Anupama has to say about the film.

Actor Anupama Parameswaran, a household name in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema, is enjoying back-to-back releases. After appearing in this year’s blockbuster success Dragon, the actor’s second Tamil release is Bison, a sports drama helmed by Mari Selvaraj and starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role.

At a recent interview with Galatta Plus on the sidelines of Paradha promotions, Anupama was asked about Bison. She revealed that earlier she was approached by Mari to act in Pariyerum Perumal and Maamanan but couldn’t do due to schedule conflict.

Anupama said, “When he called me for Bison, I was so excited. It is a very nice story and one of Mari sir's best films, I think. From whatever I have seen, it looks like magic. That movie has helped me evolve as an actor. Mari sir has very distinct style of working.”

She also added, “So, the last time I had a workshop for a film before Bison was actually never. So, I had to know the people, learn things for that film and a wonderful experience." Anupama said that now she is comfortable doing anything. "Mari sir is someone who is very honest. If he thinks I am doing something silly, he would not wait for a second to say that. It breaks you but also makes you."

Bison release date

Bison will release on October 17 for Diwali. The film marks Dhruv Vikram’s comeback after nearly three years since the release of his last film in 2022, Mahaan. Besides Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran, actors Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal and Aruvi Madhan, are also there.
