Although Param Sundari received mixed reviews from critics and netizens, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's film has been performing decently at the box office. After three days, the film has collected Rs. 26.75 crore, surpassing the lifetime collection of Kangana Ranaut's Emergency at the domestic box office. According to a report by The Times of India, Sidharth Malhotra is the highest-paid actor for Param Sundari. His fees ranged between Rs 10–12 crore. Janhvi Kapoor, starring opposite him, reportedly earned between Rs 4–5 crore for her role.
The supporting cast includes Sanjay Kapoor, who plays Sidharth’s father and was given Rs 50 lakh, while Manjot Singh reportedly earned Rs 25 lakh for his performance.

Param Sundari was compared to Chennai Express due to its South Indian setting. In an interview for Mirchi Plus, Janhvi and Sidharth were asked about the comparison. Sidharth said, “I think it's a great thing. I love Chennai Express! I think it's a good reference. I take it as a compliment. The picture was released 10 years ago. Definitely, these two films are not the same!”
While Janhvi added that in Chenna Express, Deepika Padukone played a Tamilian in the film, but Janhvi played a half-Tamilian, half-Malayali girl, which is a generalisation from the people who are comparing the two films.
"I am from Kerala in the film, and not all people from the South can be grouped together. It’s a different milieu altogether, and it’s not like that this is a repetitive thing at all. 2 States was similar, but it came after Chennai Express, and these kinds of films aren’t being released every year. The point is people aren’t comparing us to something that needs to be forgotten, Chennai Express was an iconic film, with iconic characters and actors," Janhvi said.
