Abir Chatterjee has just joined the Bollywood bandwagon with Avrodh 2 on Zee5, while Parambrata Chatterjee has been working simultaneously in and outside Bengal. Now, the two will be seen together in Raja Chanda’s next romantic comedy. The film that is penned by Parambrata will also feature Lahoma Bhattacharya. The film will go on the floors in July.
Parambrata and Abir have worked together in several films, including Srijit Mukherji’s Baishe Srabon and Shah Jahan Regency, Kaushik Ganguly’s Bastu Shaap and others. In February, the duo worked together in Suman Mukhopadhyay’s Putul Naacher Itikotha. In an interview with Ei Samay, Abir said that curiosity flies high when he is featured with Parambrata in a film. “There is a campaign by a certain section of the media that Parambrata and I share animosity. At the same time, whenever we work together, we see a lot of excitement,” he said.
Meanwhile, Parambrata is all geared up to go to London to attend the London Indian Film Festival with his films Abhijaan and Aritra Sen’s Ghore Pherar Gaan, which features the actor in the lead. He said that the story was penned years ago. He has brushed that up a little. “There is a suave character and the other one is not so suave. Since Abir will be working in the film, he will be doing the character of the suave man. I will play the other one,” he said. Lahoma will play the character of Mohor. “She will bring some freshness since she is a new face in the industry,” said Parambrata.
Meanwhile, this will be Raja Chanda’s first work with Parambrata and Abir. While talking to Ei Samay, he said, “I have worked with Dev, Jeet, Ankush, Soham and others but never worked with Abir and Parambrata. Hence, this is an important film for me.”
The music will be composed by Joy Sarkar and the shooting will take place around Kolkata from the third week of July.
