Parambrata Chatterjee has his hands full. Besides his number of Bollywood projects, he is also working on multiple films in Bengal. Recently, his Netflix series Aranyak with Ravina Tandon has brought him accolades. He is nominated as the Best Actor in the Web series at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for Aranyak. In an interview with OTTplay, the actor said that season two will start soon.

“I am just hoping that season two starts. I don’t know and I am not informed properly yet. But I am hoping that it may start sometime next year,” said Parambrata, who is currently playing the character of an IPS officer in Arindam Bhattacharya’s Shibpur.

Parambrata has worked in Sudhir Mishra’s unnamed project – a part of Anubhav Sinha-produced anthology – with Taapsee Pannu. Besides, Parambrata has worked in a SonyLiv thriller Jehanabad and completed the shooting of Nikhil Advani's Mumbai Diaries season 2 with Konkona Sen Sharma and Satyajit Dubey. Meanwhile, he will be seen as the lead in Kannada director Pavan Wadeyar’s Bollywood debut, Notary. Talking about playing the lead, he said he liked the script. “It is a social film with a very important social message delivered in the garb of a comedy. I thought it was worth exploring,” said Parambrata, adding that he is glad that he got the role.

Talking about getting the right character, he said that the importance of the character is what he measures. “In a way, I am playing the new lead track in some way in Mumbai Diary. For me, every character is a lead character. In Jehanabad also, in terms of screen time, other characters occupy more space. But for me, the character that I play is the lead of that part. That is how I evaluate a project,” said Parambrata.
