Parambrata Chatterjee to direct a new film with Aparna Sen and Anjan Dutt as lead

Parambrata Chatterjee will start his next directorial project with Anjan Dutta and Aparna Sen in the lead. According to reports, the title of the film, Ei Raat Tomar Amar, takes a cue from Hemanta Mukherjee’s immortal song from the film, Deep Jwele Jaai. Parambrata will also act in the film that will deal with the golden era of Bengali cinema. Parambrata’s character is based on Hemanta Mukherjee, but this is not a biopic, the reports suggested. It tells the story of one night and some reminiscence. Hoichoi Studios is producing the film. 

Anjan and Aparna worked for the last time in Srijit Mukherjo’s Ek Je Chhilo Raja. Parambrata expressed his curiosity many times about the black-and-white era of Bengali cinema. He directed Soumitra Chatterjee’s biopic Abhijaan. The film was acclaimed by the audience. Parambrata completed another directorial project, Hawa Bodol 2. Meanwhile, his OTT directional venture, Paranshabarir Shap, has been recently released on Hoichoi. The second season has already been announced and the director-actor confirmed that the second season will also feature Chiranjeet Chakraborty as Bhaduri Moshai.

The muharrat of the film Ei Raat Tomar Amar was held on Wednesday. But Parambrata did not want to comment on the film. Currently, the film is being written. Shooting is to be started at the beginning of next year.
