Parampara Season 2 OTT release date: When and where to watch the web series starring Jagapathi Babu, Sarathkumar, Naveen Chandra

One of Disney+ Hotstar’s most-watched Telugu web shows, Parampara, is returning for season two. While the streaming platform confirmed the same recently, the premiere date was announced by the platform earlier this week. Parampara Season 2, backed by Baahubali makers, Arka Media, will stream on Disney+ Hotstar starting this July 21.

Parampara Season 2 brings together Jagapathi Babu, Sarathkumar, Naveen Chandra, Ishaan, Naina Ganguly, Aakanksha Singh, Kasthuri and others in important roles. The earlier season, that was launched in December 2021, was Disney+ Hotstar’s second web show in the Telugu digital space after the independence-era drama Unheard.

The show is about the two sons of a village messiah Veera Naidu - Mohana Rao and Nagendra Naidu. Naidu, insecure of Mohan’s popularity among people, employs one vile trick after the other to suppress the latter’s influence. The bitterness extends to their children Suresh and Gopi too. Vijay Krishna L and Hari Yeleti have written the dialogues.

The first season of Parampara was directed by Viswanath Arigela and Vijay Krishna L. It’s not known if the makers will retain the director-duo for the second season too. Parampara opened to mixed reactions upon its release, with the performances of its lead characters receiving praise. Will the second season have enough bite to engage the viewers? We’ll know soon.
