Disney+ Hotstar in a bid to up its game across regional markets is coming up with a host of direct-to-OTT releases, web shows in multiple languages. While their latest Telugu release, Maa Oori Polimera, opened to good reviews all over, their next offering in the language is a web series titled Parampara. The action drama series stars Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Sarathkumar and Aakanksha Singh in lead roles, directed by Krishna Vijay L and Viswanath Arigela. Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni have produced the show under Arka Media Works. The trailer of the show was released earlier today.
The trailer commences with a voiceover that says that vengeance stays alive in some form or the other across every generation. The scene shifts to Naveen Chandra, where he says that killing someone is more difficult than dying. The focus is on three men seated on a sofa while later, a character played by veteran actor Murali Mohan is shot by someone. Sarathkumar is introduced as Naidu, a kingmaker, who's believed to be bigger than the king. Naveen Chandra is said to be the only one capable of confronting Naidu.
A poor man is seen conveying his gratitude to a part essayed by Jagapathi Babu, after which the trailer showcases glimpses of the various action sequences in the story. Naidu is a man who believes that people can be won over by two things alone - vote and a currency note. Naveen Chandra, meanwhile, looks committed to end Naidu's reign. Aakanksha Singh, cast as his love interest, asks if power is sexier than a woman? Kasthuri, Aamani and Ishaan appear in crucial roles. The cast looks impressive and the show promises several sparkling performances.
Naresh Kumaran has scored the music for Parampara, while Vijay Krishna L and Hari Yeleti have written the dialogues. SV Vishweshawar has cranked the camera for a show edited by Tammiraju.
