Child actor Soumyadipta Saha has become a household name after his brilliant presentation of Dance Dance Junior. His crackling chemistry with Mithun Chakraborty became a unique attraction for the audience. Now, the actor is all geared up to impress the audience as Haluaman – a superhero who goes to school. The film also features Sohom Chakraborty, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Kanchan Mullick, Biswanath Basu, Mimi Dutta, Om, and Devlina Kumar. Besides Soumyadipta, the film also has a number of other children, Bilas and Udita.
The main protagonist of this story Potash (Soumyadipta) lives with his father, a journalist, his mother and grandparents. His grandfather, Paran Bandyopadhyay, is a retired scientist. Besides, he has his best friend, Sinjini.
Potash's grandfather has a personal laboratory where he keeps on experimenting. One fine morning, his experiments turn Potash into a powerful individual. He gets the ability to fly and punish criminals. In his super-human avatar, he calls himself Haluaman (for his unconditional love for Halua).
Talking about the film, the director said that Haluaman is Bengal’s first child superhero. “We've seen a lot of superheroes from Hollywood and Bollywood so far, but this is the first time a superhero has come down to Kolkata with his little arms and legs. This story is not just about the superhero and superpower. This story is all about friendship and also a story about the changing equation of different types of relationships. This story is for the little ones. But at the same time, the little ones will teach the adults a lot through this film. Through this story, the adults will find the true identity of the children, and the children will stretch the wings of imagination.”
