Paranthu Po, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Shiva, Grace Antony and others, is currently running in theatres, as the comedy drama is soon to make its OTT debut. As we reported earlier, the film’s post-theatrical rights have been bagged by JioHotstar and will soon premiere on the platform. Here is the tentative release date of Paranthu Po.

Director Ram, known for his poignant films that make people think, had recently directed the Tamil film Paranthu Po. The slice-of-life comedy drama features Shiva, Mithun Ryan, Grace Antony, and others. The film was released in theatres earlier this month and is currently being shown on big screens.

As per reports, Paranthu Po will soon begin streaming on JioHotstar from the first week of August, tentatively on August 4. The film had opened to positive reception upon its release, and got positive reviews. Paranthu Po had also premiered at the international film festivals last year. However, JioHotstar will soon officially announce the release date of Paranthu Po. You will be able to watch the film with your OTTplay Premium subscription.

What is Paranthu Po about?

A musical comedy film, Paranthu Po revolves around an episode of adventure of a father and his notorious son, who keep meeting interesting people on their way as they move away from the busy nature of the city they live in. The film talks about taking moments away from routine life to go back to living in the moment, much like children.

With the cast including Anjali, Aju Varghese, Vijay Yesudas and others, the film is produced by Ram, V Gunasekaran, V Karupuchaamy, V Shankar, with banners JioHotstar, GKS Bros Production, Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions associated with the project. The film is shot by cinematographer NK Ekhambram and Mathi VS is the editor. Music is scored by Santhosh Dhayanithi, with Ram taking a departure from his Yuvan Shankar Raja collaboration.
